After over seven years of operation, we know we have a lot of
haters but we know we have many, many fans and supporters, too. We also
know a lot of those people that support us like to try the new places
that pop up every now and then. We get that and honestly there's no
hard
feelings at all. We also know that for most people in their early to
mid 20's it seems like Fusion has been and will be around forever.
Unfortunately this is not the case and we feel it's only fair to offer
a warning.
For nearly six months, the "powers that be" in the corporate office
have been wanting to pull the plug on our current concept but we have
been holding them off by having very successful Saturday nights.
Unfortunately the last three weeks those have been considerably slower
than the months before and our existence as Tulsa's longest-running
hip-hop and r&b hot spot is in serious jeopardy. That doesn't mean
Fusion will go away - quite the contrary. It just means that if you
like Fusion now you almost certainly won't like it in the future.
So, here's the deal:
We have one last weekend to show the corporate office that Tulsa still
supports what we are doing here. If not, that's fine. Fusion has had a
good run -- by all accounts at least twice as long as any hip-hop and
r&b club Tulsa has ever seen and considerably longer than about 25
competitors we've seen come and go in those 7+ years.
If you DO SUPPORT US and DO NOT WANT US TO GO AWAY FOREVER, you'd
better come out this Friday, April 27th and Saturday, April 28th, have
a
couple of drinks and enjoy some hip-hop an r&b.
And please help spread the word!
Thanks,
Bryan, Tim, Josh
